Costa Rica legend Keylor Navas is set to join Monza this summer.
According to a report by Sky Italia, Serie A side Monza have made a surprise move for goalkeeper Keylor Navas after failing to secure the services of Atalanta’s Pierluigi Gollini.
Navas has previously starred for Real Madrid’s formidable ‘three-peat’ side before joining Paris Saint-Germain on a permanent transfer where he had a mixed experience.
The 37-year-old last played in the Premier League last season for Nottingham Forest on loan from the French giants. Since then, he has been out of contract and is now expected to sign a permanent deal with the Biancorossi.
Navas left Costa Rica today and will undergo his medical examinations tomorrow in Italy before getting officially announced as a new Monza player.
Meanwhile, Gollini has become a favourite for Genoa as he gave his nod to the Ligurians recently. The Atalanta-owned goalie accepted Monza’s offer but negotiations fell off in the last moment.
