With just two days to go before Bayern kick off the new Bundesliga season, Manuel Neuer has fallen ill.
The Bayern captain is unable to train with his teammates today due to a stomach bug, the German champions announced on Twitter.
Should Neuer fail to recover in time for Friday’s game against Eintracht Frankfurt, Sven Ulreich will step in to replace him.
Apart from Neuer and the injured Leon Goretzka and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, all other Bayern players are in training today.
