New Bayern Munich signing Hiroki Ito suffered a long-term injury in a friendly on Sunday.
Bayern Munich will be without new signing Hiroki Ito for a while.
The Japanese defender, who has joined the club from Stuttgart, suffered a suspected broken foot in a 1-1 friendly draw with Regionalliga side Duren on Sunday.
“The metatarsal is probably broken,” said Bayern board member for sport Max Eberl in an interview with Bild.
“Therefore, he will be out for a long time,” Eberl added.
Bayern activated a reported €23.5 million release clause in Ito’s contract to sign him.
