Bayer Leverkusen managing director for sport Simon Rolfes has commented on reports that Bayern Munich have made a new bid for Jonathan Tah.
Recent reports have suggested that Bayern Munich have made a second offer for Jonathan Tah worth €25 million (€20 million upfront and €5 million in add-ons), but that wasn’t enough to satisfy Leverkusen.
Asked by Kicker about the ongoing speculation linking the centre-back with Bayern, Bayer Leverkusen managing director for sport Simon Rolfes said the situation remains unchanged.
“There is no new status. Jona will come with us to the training camp on Sunday. That’s the situation,” Rolfes told Kicker.
“It’s not that he doesn’t want to play for Bayer 04,” he added.
Tah’s contract with Leverkusen expires in 2025.
