
France’s preeminent sporting publication reports that Joshua Guilavogui’s younger brother Morgan is headed to German football on loan.
France’s L’Équipe reports that RC Lens striker/winger Morgan Guilavogui is set to join newly promoted Bundesliga side FC St. Pauli on loan. The 26-year-old younger brother of former VfL Wolfsburg captain Joshua Guilavogui will play the coming season in Hamburg on an arrangement that includes an unspecified purchase option. Joshua – a very popular and loved player in German footballing circles – remains a free agent after his release from Mainz.
Morgan had something of an underachieving year for his Lique 1 club last year, netting just two goals in 28 appearances across all competitions for Lens. The Tolon-native – who has opted to represent Guinea internationally – did nevertheless feature regularly for country in the January Africa cup of nations. Morgan played in all seven of the Sylli National’s AFCON fixtures, garnering an assist in the second group stage game against the Gambia.
