A fresh insight into the future of a headline member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has on Tuesday been provided.
The player in question? Ansu Fati.
The name of wide-man Ansu has of course returned to the forefront of the headlines at Barcelona over the course of the last week.
As much comes after the 21-year-old, fresh off a hugely underwhelming loan stint away from the Blaugrana, linked back up with his parent club for pre-season training.
Contrasting claims have since spread in the media when it comes to Barca’s plans for Ansu, with many sources adamant that Deco and co. are simply waiting for an appropriate offer to cash in on the Spanish international.
If the latest update on the situation to have surfaced on Tuesday is anything go go by, however, then Ansu, it would appear, is doing everything in his power to change the minds of those behind the scenes at the Camp Nou.
Speaking on El Chiringuito TV’s Twitch channel, journalist Jota Jordi confirmed the ongoing ‘delight’ on the part of the Barcelona coaching staff with the pre-season form being displayed by Ansu:
“At Barça they are delighted with Ansu Fati in the ongoing preseason. With every day that passes he is closer to staying.”
