The powers that be at La Liga outfit Sevilla have turned their focus towards Germany, amid the search for a new centre-forward.
This, of course, comes ahead of the imminent departure of star frontman, Youssef En-Nesyri.
Moroccan international En-Nesyri, for those not aware, is all set to take his talents to Turkey, to join José Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe.
The transfer will prove crucial in alleviating the long-standing financial problems at The Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán, in the process also opening the door to further incomings.
And one name to have quickly come to the fore as a potential signing, it is understood, is that of Sardar Azmoun.
As per a report from Relevo, Iranian international Azmoun is held in high regard by Sevilla sporting director Victor Orta.
The Nervionenses are therefore readying a loan proposal for the 29-year-old, who finds himself out of the plans of Xabi Alonso and the coaching staff at Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen.
Relevo even go as far as to suggest that, should Leverkusen be open to the transfer terms laid out by Sevilla, ‘Azmoun would be very close to joining’.
