According to Sacha Tavolieri, Stade Brestois and Lille OSC are among the growing list of clubs interested in signing Sikou Niakaté (25) from SC Braga this summer, with Olympique Lyonnais and Stade de Reims having been previously linked with the Mali international.
Sacha Tavolieri further reports that an as-of-yet-unknown Serie A side is also considering Niakaté, and is ready to make an opening offer for the former EA Guingamp player.
Despite the centre-back having a release clause of €30 million, it has been reported that clubs will be able to acquire his signature for around half that amount with Braga setting their asking price between €10 and €15 million.
This will provide the Portuguese club with a substantial amount of profit on a player that they had originally picked up from Guingamp for under €2 million. However, such has been his performances in Portugal that a club will likely be willing to pay their demand this summer.
