Rennes attacking midfielder Désiré Doué (19) has emerged as a potential target for Bayern Munich during the summer transfer window, according to Florian Plettenberg. There is fierce competition to sign the Frenchman with the Bundesliga club the latest to enter the race to secure his signature.
Doué is attracting interest from clubs in the Premier League as well as the Bundesliga. Arsenal and Manchester United are also in the race to sign the 19-year-old. It remains to be seen which club will win the race with the Rennes player showing no indication of where he would like to go.
A club record fee wanted
In order to sell Doué, Les Rouges et Noirs are hoping to receive a club record fee. According to L’Équipe, Rennes are looking to garner a fee higher than that Manchester City paid to sign Jérémy Doku in the summer of 2023. The Premier League champions paid €66m for the Belgian international.
