Only a year after leaving his formative club FC Lorient for Stade Rennais, Enzo Le Fée (24) could be on the move again. Le Fée has reportedly agreed terms on a five-year deal with AS Roma. However, the Italian side’s evaluation of the midfielder remains below Rennes’ estimate.
The Giallorossi have had an opening bid of €18 million rejected by Rennes, with the Brittany club holding out for at least €20 million, which is the price that they paid last summer for the midfielder. Rennes are unwilling to allow Le Fée to walk for less than what they paid for the player, regardless of a difficult debut season with Les Rouges et Noirs.
However, while the two clubs negotiate a price, L’Équipe have reported that Le Fée has met with the Rennes sporting director, Frédéric Massara, to formalise his intentions to leave the side. It is also expected in the coming days that he will inform the head coach, Julien Stéphan, of his desires.
