La Liga outfit Real Sociedad are expressing a keen interest in the signature of an out-of-favour member of the midfield ranks at Paris Saint-Germain.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing sources in France and Spain alike, who point towards Carlos Soler as the players in the sights of the Basque outfit.
Soler, for his part, endured another largely underwhelming campaign in Paris in 2023/24.
All told, the Spaniard was afforded just 12 league starts by compatriot Luis Enrique, with his grand total of just eight minutes in the Champions League a testament to just how little Soler was depended upon when it mattered most.
In turn, it should come as little surprise to hear of the 27-year-old being tipped for a move back to La Liga.
Having previously made his name with Valencia, Real Sociedad are now understood to be expressing a keen interest in Soler’s signature ahead of the summer.
As per the aforementioned MD, the brass at Anoeta have gone as far as to open talks with their counterparts at PSG, over the terms of a deal.
Not only that, but La Real are considered the favourites to get their man, amid rival interest from the likes of Villarreal and Aston Villa.
All potential scenarios are being taken into consideration, including a permanent transfer, and a loan featuring an option to buy.
