Real Sociedad have been linked with a move for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Carlos Soler (27), according to a report by Foot Mercato.
Despite falling out of favour at the French capital, Soler remains happy at the club and is thought to be unwilling to leave permanently, while PSG believe that they will be unable to collect anything close to the €18 million they spent on the Spaniard two years ago
Talks with Aston Villa have seemingly progressed no further than an opening discussion which has left Les Parisiens in a familiar predicament as few teams can match Soler’s new wage demands so like with players like Juan Bernat (31), PSG may look for a loan deal where they pay some of the player’s salary.
Real Sociedad and Villarreal assess Carlos Soler
In this context, Real Sociedad would be interested in making a deal for Soler while Villarreal also were thought to have looked at the midfielder in the winter transfer window.
