Karlsruhe, Elversberg, and Kaiserslautern hope to consolidate their promotion hopes when they resume their 2. Bundesliga campaigns on Sunday.

Karlsruher SC vs. SV Elversberg

Karlsruhe will hope to maintain their unbeaten record against Elversberg when the two teams clash for the sixth time on Sunday. Elversberg came close to ending that streak in their last head-to-head fixture, but Christian Eichner’s side scored two late goals to snatch a draw from the Ursapharm-Arena an der Kaiserlinde.

Sunday’s game will be in Karlsruhe as the two-time DFB-Pokal winners hope to recover from their shocking 4-0 defeat in Bielefeld. Elversberg were also in poor form before the international break as they only picked up a single point from the last three games since topping the table with a 6-0 win over Greuther Fürth.

Predicted Lineups

Karlsruhe: Bernat; Kobald, Franke, Beifus; Pinto Pedrosa, Herold; Burnic, Rapp, Wanitzek ©; Förster, Schleusener

Elversberg: Kristof; Keidel, Pinckert ©, Rohr, Günther; Condé, Poreba; Petkov, Conté, Zimmerschied; Ebnoutalib

Kaiserslautern vs. Holstein Kiel

Kaiserslautern also went into the break with a point from the last three matches as Torsten Lieberknecht’s side lost some ground in the promotion race. However, they will hope to return to winning ways when they host Kiel on Sunday.

Including a 3-1 victory away from home last season, Kaiserslautern won six of their first nine matches against Kiel. Marcel Rapp’s team secured their first win since September when they beat Fortuna Düsseldorf before the international break.

Predicted Lineups

Kaiserslautern: Krahl; Sirch, Gyamfi, Robinson; Joly, Kunze, Sahin, Haas; Skyttä; Hanslik ©, Prtajin

Kiel: Krumrey; Zec, Johansson, Komenda; Rosenboom, Davidsen, Schwab, Tolkin; Bernhardsson ©, Kapralik; Harres

Nürnberg vs. Armenia Bielefeld

Nürnberg turned the tide as they went five games unbeaten after a hard-fought victory in Dynamo Dresden. Miroslav Klose’s side quickly escaped a relegation scare to climb into 2. Bundesliga midtable.

While Der Club won back-to-back games for the first time this season, the newly-promoted Arminia Bielefeld picked up seven points from their last three encounters. Nürnberg avoided defeat in their last three games against Bielefeld since losing 5-1 at home in 2019.

Predicted Lineups

Nürnberg: Reichert; Janisch, Gruber ©, Lochoshvili, Yilmaz; Markhiev; Becker, Lubach; Justvan, Stepanov, Zoma

Bielefeld: Kersken; Schneider, Großer, Felix ©; Boakye, Corboz, Wörl, Handwerker; Momuluh, Grodowski, Sarenren Bazee
