Bild reports that an unfamiliar face has appeared for training at Säbener Straße this week.

According to the German tabloid, 15-year-old Filip Pavic has joined the senior team sessions on multiple days this week.

Widely regarded as one of the brightest talents at Bayern’s academy, Pavic is a centre-back for the U17 team and captains Germany’s U16 national team.

One possible reason for his inclusion is that Kim Minjae has been dealing with a calf problem and remains a doubt for Friday’s game.

The South Korean international is expected to make the squad, but if not, Pavic could potentially be called upon as cover.

While a debut against Werder seems highly unlikely, training with the senior squad marks an important milestone for Pavic and a clear sign of his progress.
