Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso has already been left thoroughly impressed by the tactical accumen of one member of his midfield ranks at the club.
That’s according to Marca, who point towards Aurélien Tchouaméni as the player in question.
France international Tchouaméni has for his part played an important role in the early weeks of Xabi Alonso’s stint as Real Madrid manager.
Across Los Blancos’ six fixtures at the FIFA Club World Cup, the former AS Monaco man featured from the off in each and every one.
Tchouaméni was tasked with a crucial role in Alonso’s XI, stepping back and forth between defence and midfield mid-match.
And as alluded to above, in the process, the 25-year-old quickly earned the trust of his new headmaster.
As per a report from Marca:
‘The Club World Cup has left certainties (at Real Madrid) and one of the most obvious is that Tchouaméni can play a fundamental role in Xabi Alonso’s system.’
The Spanish tactician considers Tchouaméni an ‘extension’ of himself on the pitch, ready to afford a pivotal role to the Frenchman this coming season as a result.
