Nottingham Forest worry as Dan Ndoye picks up injury in friendly

Premier League side Nottingham Forest have been working on a move for Serie A star Dan Ndoye, having made their initial offer for the winger.

Napoli have also attempted to sign the Switzerland international but Nottingham Forest could be left with a major worry regarding a potential transfer.

Bologna took on Virtus Verona in a pre-season friendly today and Ndoye had started. In the second minute of the tie, he picked up an injury and was left floored for several minutes. Manager Vincenzo Italiano was incensed at the referee’s decision to not give a yellow card to the Virtus Verona full-back, as many teammates arrived to check on Ndoye.

The Swiss star had picked up an injury on the same ankle that he had injured last season. Many Bologna fans at the stadium were left angry too, as Ndoye asked to be substituted and then placed his foot in a bowl of ice.

Bologna are worried about the situation and it remains to be seen if this impacts a potential transfer to Nottingham Forest or Napoli.
