Serie A giants Milan are nearing the possibility of tying down goalkeeper Mike Maignan to a new contract at the club.
Maignan has become a vital player for Milan over the seasons and has become one of the leading characters in the club’s dressing room. The club are keen to hand him a new deal and key progress is ebing made.
Daniele Longo has reported that the club are now expecting to define the details of the new deal very quickly. There is a verbal agreement over a new deal and final details are being sorted out.
He will sign a new deal that will expire in the summer of 2028 and he will earn €5 million per season and bonuses of €1 million.
Something similar was echoed by Corriere dello Sport, who have suggested that Chelsea did make a couple of inquiries for the Frenchman, who was very keen on staying and the renewal is indeed very close.
