Harry Kane scored his fourth hat-trick of the season as Bayern Munich ran out 3-0 winners against Augsburg, and the Englishman becomes the quickest player to reach 50 goals in the Bundesliga, beating Erling Haaland’s record.
It took Kane just 43 games to reach 50 Bundesliga goals, beating Haaland’s record of 50 goals in 50 games. It also takes his tally to 14 goals and seven assists in just 11 Bundesliga games under Vincent Kompany this season.
Kane opened the scoring from the spot after Mads Pedersen handled the ball in the area just after the hour mark. The England star then doubled his tally, again from the spot, in stoppage time after being brought down by Keven Schlotterbeck before adding a third in the fifth minute, moving the Rekordmeister eight points clear of RB Leipzig.
The Englishman’s goalscoring record continues, and now there’s question marks as to whether or not he could break Robert Lewandowski’s tally of most goals in a Bundesliga season where he scored 41 goals in a single campaign in the 2020/21 season.
