Fiorentina’s Vincenzo Italiano is unlikely to keep Krzysztof Piątek at his disposal next season, potentially identifying Milan Djuric and Luka Jović as potential replacements.
According to journalist Alfredo Pedullà, Fiorentina are very much alive in the race to sign Real Madrid striker Luka Jović and have been closely monitoring Salernitana ‘s Milan Djuric.
Djuric’s contract with the Salerno-based side will expire in June 2022. Salernitana want to extend the player’s contract and are pushing for the player’s extension.
But the striker is reluctant to pen a new deal in Salerno. He is ready to leave the club on a free transfer, with Fiorentina emerging as an interested party in the pursuit of the Bosnian international.
If these reports are believed to be true, La Viola would like to sign two forwards this summer to replace the likes of Piątek and Aleksandr Kokorin.
While Piątek joined Fiorentina on loan from Hertha Berlin in the last January transfer window and will move on to pastures new this summer, Kokorin has a contract at the club until June 2024.
