Serie A side Bologna signed Thijs Dallinga in the summer transfer window and he has now spoken about his Rossoblu teammate Sam Beukema.
The centre-back has impressed for Bologna since last season and he is playing a central role once again this season, making an impact at the back after the club lost Riccardo Calafiori to Arsenal in the summer.
He is making an impact and there is a possibility of him playing for the Netherlands in the near future. His compatriot Dallinga spoke to Corriere dello Sport about the defender’s future and his potential.
He said:“There is great competition in his position in Holland. It will be a challenge for him, but I think if he continues playing as he is now and in the past, he has the chance to reach the national team. I am focused on Bologna.”
While Dallinga is yet to make a mark upfront for Bologna as Santiago Castro is impressing much more, Beukema has played 11 times in the Serie A and in recent weeks, he has also been linked to bigger Serie A sides and Liverpool have also been mentioned as a potential suitor.
More performances of a high level will certainly attract other clubs.
