Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s situation in Erik ten Hag’s squad at Old Trafford “has completely changed in just one month”, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has told GiveMeSport.
The £90k-per-week star has been the subject of significant loan interest from fellow Premier League sides this month.

Man Utd transfer news – Aaron Wan-Bissaka
Having played just four minutes worth of top-flight action before the league’s break for the World Cup, it looked as though Wan-Bissaka’s future at Old Trafford was in severe jeopardy.
It has been reported that Wolverhampton Wanderers, Crystal Palace and West Ham United amongst others have looked at securing the right-back’s signature on loan until the end of the season this month.
However, a resurgence in playing time and form has seen the 25-year-old start in all of United’s last four Premier League fixtures, helping the Red Devils to three clean sheets and four victories in the process, as per Transfermarkt.
Romano has recently told GiveMeSport that ten Hag is now happy with the performances of Wan-Bissaka since the Old Trafford outfit’s return to action following the World Cup.
And now the Italian journalist has suggested that the former Palace star’s situation at Old Trafford has flipped, though the club could still bring in another right-back addition this month.
What has Romano said about Man Utd and Wan-Bissaka?
Romano told GiveMeSport: “The situation has completely changed in just one month for Wan-Bissaka. Let’s see if Wolves, Palace or West Ham will move on to other interests. At the moment yes, the only potential new incoming could be a new right-back.”
What next for Man Utd?
Following Wan-Bissaka’s impressive performances over the past few weeks, it now seems unlikely that ten Hag will be prepared to let the London-born starlet leave Old Trafford on either a permanent or loan basis this month.
In terms of right-back additions for the Red Devils, TuttoMercatoWeb have reported that United are in advanced negotiations to sign Fulham’s Kevin Mbabu as the club look to bolster their options in the full-back department.
Meanwhile, Calcio Mercato has reported that ten Hag’s side have opened discussions with Inter Milan over the potential signing of Netherlands international Denzel Dumfries, who could be available at a cut-price fee of £35m, with the Serie A being open to selling the player.
Therefore, whilst a move away from Old Trafford for Wan-Bissaka now looks significantly less likely than it did pre-World Cup, his future still does not seem to be entirely certain heading into the final weeks of the January transfer window.
